10 Oct THERE SKATEBOARDS – RIPPED IN HALF – VANCOUVER PREMIERE
There Skateboards Premieres “Ripped in Half” at Antisocial
It was a night to remember. On October 9th, the Ripped in Half video premiere by There Skateboards went down hard at Antisocial’s fresh new location, and damn, everybody showed up heavy. The room was packed, the energy was electric, and it felt like a who’s who of Van’s skate scene all colliding under one roof.

Poe Pinson Kicks Off the Night
Right from the jump, the night kicked off with Poe Pinson being celebrated on screen as the opening for the video. The place erupted. Everyone was hyped to see Poe officially hit pro status with There, and it felt like one of those moments where the whole community got to share in someone’s win. Poe’s earned it, and it was sick to see that recognition unfold right in front of everyone.
Marbie’s Standout Part
Marbie’s part went crazy too. Sick lines, gutsy tricks, and that signature creativity that makes her skating so damn fun to watch. Her section had people yelling, clapping, and nodding along the whole way through. It was one of those parts that just reminds you how much personality can live inside a single trick.

Creative Intros with Old-School Flavor
The video itself had these rad, hand-painted red card intros for each skater’s part, a super creative touch that instantly gave off big “Mouse” (Girl, 1996) energy. That old-school artistic flair mixed with modern filming and editing made the whole thing feel unique. You could tell the crew put a lot of love into the details.
Antisocial’s New Home Base
Big shoutout to Michelle at Antisocial for hosting the event in her new spot. The layout, the vibe, the people, it all just felt right. She’s been holding it down for Vancouver skateboarding for years, and this new location already feels like home base.

Vancouver Skaters Show Out
Everybody popped out and showed love. Local Van skaters, filmers, photographers, homies, and OGs; people from every corner of the scene rolled through. The energy was nothing but positive. And to top it all off, the Icon hip-hop cypher was going down right next door, creating this perfect crossover of skate and music culture. The two events fed off each other’s hype and made the whole night feel even more alive.
“Ripped in Half” wasn’t just a premiere. It was a celebration of what makes Vancouver skateboarding special: the talent, the community, and the love that keeps it rolling.
