PALACE SKATEBOARDS X DR. MARTENS 1461

08 Apr PALACE SKATEBOARDS X DR. MARTENS 1461

Palace Skateboards x Dr. Martens 1461: A Rugged Remix for Spring 2025

The highly anticipated Palace Skateboards x Dr. Martens 1461 collaboration is here—and it’s bringing serious energy to Spring 2025. This drop reimagines the classic oxford silhouette with Palace’s irreverent style and Dr. Martens’ signature toughness.

A Fusion of Streetwear and Subculture

This isn’t your average collab. Palace’s skate-driven streetwear aesthetic meets the iconic heritage of Dr. Martens in a trio of standout 1461 colorways: black, cherry red, and a bold woodland camo.

Crafted from vintage smooth leather, these shoes are built to last—and age beautifully. The yellow welt stitching stays true to Dr. Martens’ roots, while a BEN-lugged outsole adds a dose of rugged utility, perfect for grip and attitude.

But it’s the subtle flexes that make this release extra special. For the first time ever, the heel loop ditches the traditional “AirWair” text in favor of Palace branding, a true mark of limited-edition design.

Each pair also comes with a bottle cap lace charm, nodding to the 1988 UK trend where fans—led by Matt Goss of the band Bros—would clip Grolsch swing-top caps to their Docs.

The Campaign

To promote the release, Palace and Dr. Martens dropped a short film set in a doctor’s waiting room—because of course they did. The film stars legendary poet John Cooper Clarke, Palace skaters Charlie Birch and Lucien Clarke, and Japanese model/actress Serena Motola.

Final Thoughts

This collab feels less like a marketing move and more like a cultural moment. The Palace x Dr. Martens 1461 doesn’t just mash up fashion and function—it celebrates music, history, and street-level cool in one polished package.

Available April 11. Don’t sleep.
