Craig is composure // James is chaos.

Two surfers from different generations, different upbringings, different hometowns, but with strangely familiar styles and unique approaches to riding waves. Their back-to-back end part in DEFECT has become one of the most talked-about sections of the movie, and “Illusion Of Control” extends that moment into a film of its own.

A film that celebrates Cloudbreak, Fijian surfing, and the unique and rich community and culture that surrounds it. Featuring James, Craig and a list of local names that demand respect and make the wave what it is today.
