VILLAGE PM SS26 – SKATEBOARDING DESERVES PROGRESSIVE FOOTWEAR

06 Mar VILLAGE PM SS26 – SKATEBOARDING DESERVES PROGRESSIVE FOOTWEAR

FROM STANDOUT EUROPEAN DEBUT TO GLOBALLY RECOGNISED PRESENCE

Village PM Designer Shoe

Less than a year after its public debut, Paris-based Village PM has established itself within an unprecedented network of landmark skate shops and Tier 0 fashion retailers across Europe, quickly becoming the most talked-about new name on the wall.

For Spring Summer 2026, the brand expands into Japan and Canada, adding retailers like:

BEAMS, DOVER STREET MARKET GINZA and PROV to its stockist list and evolving from a standout European debut into a globally recognised presence at the highest level of skate and fashion distribution.

CONTINUOUS EVOLUTION

Skateboarding has always reinvented itself—driven by creativity, independence and progression. Village PM brings the same mindset to footwear: evolving shapes, rethinking function, and refusing to rely on what already exists.

“A lot of our friends were wearing skate shoes like sports equipment. Something you put on before skating and take off as soon as you’re done. For us, that meant something was missing on the shoe wall in skate shops.”
Basile Lapray — co-founder

“The fact that we’re not part of some huge corporation allows us to design exactly how we want. The decisions we make don’t need to be okayed by people that will never wear the shoes.”
Bram De Cleen— co-founder

INTRODUCING THE 1PM MID

SS26 sees the introduction of the 1PM MID, a mid-top evolution of Village PM’s seminal 1PM silhouette. Its padded mid-top collar is cut low at the back for easy entry and curves up towards the front for mobility and protection where you need it. Another silhouette that doesn’t rely on branding to be recognisable.

Like the 1PM and 1.30PM, the 1PM MID features Rubber Glove Technology™—soft, sticky climbing rubber wrapped around the toes and heel for durability, grip, and controlled flick, as well as VILLAGE PM’s signature Asymmetrical Precision Fit™—the result of months of refining a custom-built last.

“There’s elements in climbing shoes—durability and a balance between protection and precision—that just made perfect sense for skateboarding. We wanted a shoe that feels precise, breaks in fast and lasts forever.”
Bram De Cleen — co-founder

FUNCTION, THEN FORM

“Each element of our shoes is designed for performance. Form always follows function.”
Basile Lapray — co-founder

AFTERNOONS THAT LAST A LIFETIME

A Wednesday afternoon out skateboarding with your friends. That is the first thing we (co-founders Basile and Bram) agreed upon when we started this and what we want Village PM to feel like. The type of afternoon you get so caught up in that it takes a while to realise you saw some things you hadn’t seen before.
